Really Impressed!
Myself and my partner were unaware of what to expect from this walk and were really impressed with the content. Our guide Jon was great, he had a wealth of knowledge of Castleton and was willing to answer questions on any historical aspect of Castleton that arose. We had a leisurely walk around the village and stopped at all the relevant areas for a short story of temporary madness afflicting the village throughout its history. Really informative and well worth doing. Jon is an excellent guide.
Incredibly Knowledgeable
We went on Saturday and had a lovely walk with Jon who is incredibly knowledgeable about Castleton. Born and bred there and clearly well involved in the community he made the tour fascinatingly full of facts you’d never know otherwise. We extended to do the walk over the top to Treak Cliff Cavern with lunch, a tour and stone polishing. A lovely day out and well worth doing. Fascinating to see the ‘Vinegar’ Bible too. Thanks Jon for a great morning.
